folowup on Ruth
Just to say that I am in Flagstaff and watching iat snow. The weather man says that it will be clear an Saturday and of course I always believe the weather man, HA. Tom , Marena and I spent the morning with the martision geting things lind up for the funeral and it wasnot a fun thing to do, but Norvil Owens has been a friend maney years and it is busness so it was good to work with him, The family prayer will be at 8:30 Saturday morning and sothe family should all be there early, There is another funeeral scheduled there at 3:00pm so we need to get all of our business done as soon as possible. Januaary 29
Those reading this blog, i want to report that on the 28th Ruth past away and she went very pease full Mel and Adalline and Marena were with her and after giving her a fairwell blessing she shut down slowlley and was gone. This took the breath out of me, but I was also releaved because she had sufered mush and had been talking to her family members that had gone before.The norvel owens was notified and came from Fla.gstaff, and took her back to flagstaff, leaving about 9:pm. We contacted many and I am sure that I missed som that we wanted to know.
AThe funeral will be in Flaagstaff the 6 of February at 10:30 and a viewing at the owens mortuary the 5th from 6 to 8 and from 9:00 to 10 at the Flagstaff stake center.Be careful inn your traveling and hope to see you there. She is at pease and meeting her family.

Ruth did not wake up last night but she was not able to take nurishment yesterday and this morning she is very shakey and not respoonding veery much.
I went to the Temple yesterday and worked my shift which was a great releaf for me, Though I felt soome what guilty the relief gave me some time to ponder on what I should do when the time comes when I am alone. The decisions I will have to make in regaurds to the funeral etc. I always thought I would be the first to go and some one else would have to make these decisions. My children are giving me encouragement but they also say that it is my decisions to make. I am so thankful for all of my children including there spouses and I sit here by Ruths bed side and wonder how I could ever get buy with out them. love Gus

January 26th
To those who are interested we are still hanging in. Ruth is still fighting fo life and not gaining if anything she is gradually losing slowlly. We are gratefull for Tom and Gretna and Marena spending the time to come and give Mel and Adaline some rest and myself also.
I have had the priviiele to work in the Temple on Wednesday and it is the best rest I can have. I work on the mid day shift and it is with understanding that I may have to leave when or if things get any worse. Many have exersised their faith in Ruth;s behalf and we greatly thank you for that. We love you very much and invite you to come and visit when you can. Loads of olve Gus

GRANMA RUTH, SHE IS NOAT IN MUCH PAIN BUT CONTINUES TO GET WEEKER AND NOT EATING BUT LITTLE. SHE IS TALKING TO HER SISTER VELMA WHO HAS BEENGONE FOR MANY YEARS. SHE ALSO COMES WITH SOME WIT THAT SURPRISES ME. sHE IS SLEEPING MOST OV THE TIME AND WHEN AWAKE SHE TRIES TO GO OVER THE RAILING,WHICH WOULD SURE BE A DISASTER. mEL AND ADALINE ARE TAKING GOOD CARE OF RUTH AND MYSELF. from the old folks
reporting on Ruth's condition. She is wanting to go home, but we do not know just which home she is refering to, it could be our Thatcher , or Flagsteff, or heavenly home. Mewl and Adaline are kepy busy tryng to take of me and Ruth,but they are so very busy that they are wareing out. I am able to work in the Templs once a week and it sure makes me bit of a break.We love you all and would like for you to come and see us.
