Hi to all of you - we are starting a website so you can be updated on mom and dad whenever you want to be and so you can leave comments for them to read.
They have really appreciated the love and support so many have shown them. They have felt your faith and prayers and have been so strong through this trial. Dad has been loving and supportive and sits endless hours with mom - it has been a blessing to her to have his devotion.
Yesterday mom turned 92 and Mel's family had a celebration for her! Travis (Mel's youngest) made a DVD to honor her and we will post that on this website along with other pictures of mom and dad.

ReplyDeleteDad reports that mom has been incoherent for 2-3 days and is still struggling physically with a desire to get out of bed, do sit-ups and is generally agitated. She has been talking to her mom and appears to be desirous of doing the things her mother is asking her to do. Most of the time it is difficult to understand what she is saying. Dad remains vigilant and caring.
Thanks for giving us another way to keep in touch. You are all in our prayers.

ReplyDeletethe good news is that Ruth slept well last night and woke up wanting some thing to eat and driink. She was speaking fairly clear and wished Mel a Happy birhday. she combed her hair and washed her face
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to see you guys when I was out a couple weeks ago. I'm so glad G-ma got to get out of bed and sit with us all as she sincerely wanted to be a part of the action, like always! We all wish we could come around more often and help out with things. But thanks so much for letting us come by and we hope you like the Hawaiian treats!
